Eveline Vlassenroot has been a contributor to the Flemish interoperability program OSLO (Open Standards for Linking Organisations) since 2017, focusing on the governance of data standards and interoperability, particularly in semantic interoperability. Her work facilitates the adoption and implementation of data standards across public and private sectors, enhancing both organizational and legal interoperability. At OSLO, she builds further upon the best practices defined at SEMIC, identifying methodologies for implementing data standards and developing sustainable data governance models for local and regional administrations. This work not only supports the seamless integration of services but also promotes the widespread adoption of these standards, ensuring they meet the evolving business requirements, needs of various stakeholders and legislation.
Additionally, she is a part-time researcher at the University of Ghent, developing a sustainable strategy for preserving and archiving Belgium's born-digital heritage.
