Hilde Hardeman, Director-General of the Publications Office of the European Union since 2021, joined the European Commission in 1994. In her current position, Hilde's focus is on making it known to the public what the EU does and means for them, helping to unlock the power of data, and thereby contributing to transparency and citizens' trust, democracy, the economy and Europe's digital transformation. Previously, she served as Head of the European Commission's Service for Foreign Policy Instruments, focusing on conflict prevention, crisis management and peace-building. She further was Deputy Head of Cabinet to the Commission Vice-President for Jobs, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness; headed the Commission President's briefing team; and was in charge of the Units for Relations with Russia and for Relations with Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus. Hilde holds a PhD in Slavic Philology and History of the University of Leuven after studies at Leuven, Stanford University, and the École des hautes études en sciences sociales in Paris. She was visiting professor at the College of Europe.

Florian HAUSER is an EU civil servant and a leading expert on public administration reform. He currently is the Deputy Head of Unit for Public Administration and Governance at the European Commission's Directorate General for Structural Reform Support since July 2023. Previously, he led the Public Administration Reform team at the European Commission's Directorate General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations (2000-2023), and coordinated EU policy on public administration and managed reform projects at the Structural Reform Support Service (2017-2020). He was instrumental in developing the European Commission's Competence Centre on Public Administration and he coordinated the Commission's Inter-service group on Public Administration Quality and innovation. He coordinated European Social Fund investment for institutional capacity building and public administration reform in EU Member States at the Commission's Directorate General for Employment (2013-2020). He initiated and coordinated the development of the EU Quality Public Administration Toolbox and the work of the European Public Administration Knowledge project. Before joining the European Commission, since 1996, he worked as an expert for socio-economic and institutional development for the EU and national governments. He has university degrees in Management and Environmental Policy, and is a fully trained mediator. Besides his German mother tongue, he speaks fluent English and Spanish.

I work as a Ministerial Adviser responsible for EU legislative affairs in the Public ICT Department of the Ministry of Finance. I specialize in data regulation as well as the use of AI and automation in public administration. I have worked in public administration for thirteen years and I have a background in digital strategy and data governance.
