Biography
Miguel Díez Blanco is the Team Lead for Interoperability Enablers at European Commission, which includes the EC Open Source Programme Office (OSPO). Miguel has almost 20 years of professional experience ranging from software development projects to infrastructure and operations activities. During the last 13 years he has been working for the European Institutions, currently in the Interoperability and Digital Government Unit at DIGIT. Miguel holds an MSc in Informatics Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · BarcelonaTech (UPC) and an MBA at HEC Paris School of Management.

Biography
Michiel is a doctoral researcher in the domain of semantic data interoperability and data protection in the framework of the SolidLab Flanders project. He holds a Master in Law and a Master in Intellectual Property and IT Law from KU Leuven. Before joining Centre for IT & IP Law at KU Leuven, Michiel worked as a legal counsel at KU Leuven R&D offering customized advice throughout the entire collaboration process, as well as specialized legal support to negotiate, review and set up agreements for consultancy, services, financed research and R&D collaborations.
