The narrative of the workshop is:
- Interoperability in data spaces from vision to reality/from inception to implementation
- how interoperability is achieved in the different data spaces and/or between data spaces
- what are the main challenge challenges in achieving interoperability?
- which assets meaning semantic tools oral models are used for this purpose?
The workshop will not be a panel discussion but a series of presentations and demos, followed by questions after each presentation as well as at the end.

Biography
Dr. Mélodie Bernaux, MD, MPH, MSc, is a medical doctor specialized in public health and serves as a Policy Officer and Seconded National Expert in the Digital Health Unit of the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (SANTE C1) at the European Commission
In her current role, she is involved in negotiating the European Health Data Space regulation and overseeing the implementation of secondary use of health data including the EHDS2 pilot project, TEHDAS2 joint action and development of central services.
Before joining the European Commission, she was responsible for the European health data space regulation and European ethical principles for digital health in the Digital health delegation of the French ministry of Health.
Previously, she served as medical officer for human reproduction, embryology and genetics at the Directorate General for Health of the French ministry of health, where she led the 2021 revision and application of the French bioethics laws for all aspects related to medically assisted reproduction, genetics, the implementation of artificial intelligence in healthcare and medical care of intersex children. She was also an active member of the Council of Europe's Bioethics Committee, where she chaired the working groups on intersex children and public dialogue on genomic medicine.
She joined the French ministry of health from Greater Paris University Hospitals where she was responsible for a number of strategic projects involving the secondary use of health data, including the COVID data task force.

Biography
David Blanchard is currently Deputy Head of the unit in charge of the Single Digital Gateway in the Directorate-General for Industry, Single Market, Entrepreneurship and SME (DG GROW), European Commission. Prior to this, he worked in several other Commission units. A French national, Mr Blanchard has a background in academia, holding a PhD in EU law.
